Vice Presidential Debate

Thanks to YouTube, I was able to watch the Vice Presidential Debate over the weekend. I think it was obvious that Palin was trying to stress her "Washington outsider" image. Personally, this appealed to me because I felt like she was much easier to listen to and understand. Since Palin tends to stay away from the government lingo, I was able to understand her points more clearly. However, I do agree that Biden did a better job of directly answering the questions. I noticed that Palin took the questions in her own direction and was even called out for not answering the questions. Also, there was a comment made in class about how Palin attempted to poke at Biden to attack her and I was able to tell that he did a good job of staying away from that. Overall, I don't feel like I have enough background knowledge about the topics to make a decision on who won the debate, but there were strengths and weaknesses of both candidates.
