The Caucus updates numerous times a day, so there is a huge variety of key issues. One particular topic is Obama's gain of electoral votes. Currently, Obama has 277 electoral votes and 270 votes are needed to win the presidency. However, this number is subject to change and it will be interesting to see which candidate will be successful at winning back which states over the next 18 days.

Another topic that the blog has been following is McCain's cancellation of his appearance on the The Late Show on September 24. He canceled when he decided to suspend his political campaign to travel to Washington D.C. and discuss the financial bailout. Since then, David Letterman has been putting pressure on McCain with comments like, the candidate’s problems “began when he bailed out on this show.”
McCain rescheduled his appearance to yesterday, October 17th, and had a very successful result. Nearly 6.53 million viewers tuned in to the show, which has a usual audience of 3.5 million viewers.

Lastly, one of the entries had an interesting Obama ad from moveon.org. It plays off of "talk to your parents about drugs" ads. Take a look:

I think the caucus blog does a nice job of spelling out the issues for people. There is a wide variety of things for people to read about and respond to. I think the Obama ad that plays off the parent/child drug conversation was a new, fresh way to get a message across. Very interesting!
